Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to support a new Enhanced AI (eAI) Research Center. This role will collaborate closely with both subsidiaries groups of leadership to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure computing environments that enable cutting-edge AI research while ensuring data security and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will bridge security expertise with an understanding of AI research needs, creating frameworks that protect sensitive research data while enabling collaboration across institutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the security architecture of an innovative research initiative focused on advancing healthcare through artificial intelligence. The role requires balancing rigorous security controls with the performance demands of AI/ML computing workflows in both cloud and on-premises environments. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing security and governance strategies for the AI research center, including the architecture of data storage, access protocols for researchers, and protection of AI models. The position also involves building a Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) conclave to ensure comprehensive security around the infrastructure of the AI center.

Skills and Requirements
years in hybrid-cloud environments and data security engineering, with at least 3 of those years being in a large enterprise environment, and a diversified range of working knowledge with different security tools and technologies
Strong experience building a high performing computing environment within an Azure with the appropriate cloud and data security frameworks/architecture
Working knowledge and experience with containerization security and secure computing orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
Experience with Python or PowerShell scripting and automation
Working-level knowledge in Communications & Network Security and Identity & Access Management
Working-level knowledge of at least 2 of following cybersecurity domains: Security & Risk Management, Asset Security, Security Engineering, Security Assessment & Testing, Security Operations, Software Development Security
Self-starter who can lead in the direction for the buildout of this new Research Center Familiarity with grant-based research security requirements (NIH, DoD, etc.) and/or NIST or CMMC governance.
Working knowledge of Crowdstrike, Palo Alto, Endpoint, and other M365 Security Applications
Experience within a research environment
Healthcare experience
