Description
We are extending an opportunity for a Part Time Bookkeeper in Modesto, California. The role involves a wide range of accounting functions, including but not limited to payroll processing, reconciliation, and invoice processing. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. The position will be working approximately 2-3 days in office.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the completion of payroll for a small team of employees
• Manage weekly payroll duties and ensure timely processing
• Handle payroll tax processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Carry out year-end reporting and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Process a high volume of invoices each month with precision
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Excel and Outlook, to manage and organize data
• Perform accounting functions using Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly reports
• Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Bookkeeper role or similar
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Outlook
• Demonstrated ability to handle all accounting functions
• Experience managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with bank reconciliations
• Experience handling payroll
• Able to carry out quarterly and monthly reporting
• Must possess a strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
