Morehead State University Studio Supervisor/Lecturer in Morehead, Kentucky

The department of Communication, Media, Art & Design at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time position as a Studio Supervisor/Lecturer. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2024.Morehead State University is located in Morehead, KY, a designated Kentucky Trail Town, nestled in the Daniel Boone National Forest, in close proximity to Cave Run Lake. This location provides opportunities for a wide range of outdoor recreation activities. Morehead State University delivers a strong and affordable education for friendly, ambitious students who thrive in a student-focused learning environment defined by small class sizes and faculty committed to teaching and student success.RESPONSIBILITIES: The Studio Supervisor/Lecturer manages studio areas, maintains the supply and equipment inventory, ensures proper maintenance of studio facilities, teaches audio and TV labs, introductory production classes and general education courses in the Communication Media. Teaching responsibilities include up to 9 credit hours per semester. This is a ten-month position.REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree with a minimum of 18 semester hours of graduate credit in Communication and/or Radio/TV (or equivalent) at an accredited institution of higher education. Technical expertise in maintaining equipment such as video cameras, audio and video consoles, lighting instruments, and editing equipment. Computer experience, including computer-based editing. Audio and/or video production experience.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Teaching experience. Supervisory experience.SPONSORSHIP: This position is not budgeted for Visa Sponsorship.
