Marki Microwave Quality Engineer 2 in Morgan Hill, California

JOB SUMMARY

As a Quality Engineer at Marki Microwave you will be a key part of the Quality Assurance team. You will oversee the execution of activities that ensure our world class products are released to production on time and at the highest levels of quality and reliability. You will bring a thorough knowledge of quality and reliability practices to this role with a focus on reliability testing and execution in in a fast-paced, dynamic high frequency RF component manufacturing environment. This role reports to the Director of Quality.

This role will require access to access information controlled under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR, 15 CFR 730-780),and likely the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR, 22 CFR 120-130), and so applicants for this position must be one of a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or other Protected Individual (as defined under 8 USC 1324b(a)(3)).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be the primary owner of all internal reliability execution activities from setup through stress test execution to delivery of qualification test data.
  • Monitor and maintain all reliability test schedules and report progress to management and Executive team.
  • Ensure all reliability equipment is setup according to the qualification plan and all conditions, stress test durations and read point testing is executed correctly.
  • Review stress test data and deliver results to the Reliability Engineering team in a timely manner. Work with Reliability Engineering partners to identify root cause of any qualification failures.
  • Maintain qualification and/or ongoing reliability schedules according to agreed-upon priorities and communicate any capacity issues to upper management.
  • Work with other stakeholders, including Equipment Engineering team, to ensure the quality and reliability equipment is in excellent working order. Address issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide oversight in quality and reliability for technicians and operators.
  • Assist in maintaining the quality management system. Conduct analysis to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
  • Develop training to build and sustain quality awareness.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance the quality management system (such as DMAIC, 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc.).
  • Participate in internal and external audits as required.
  • Promote an ethics-based business culture in the organization.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a Quality or Reliability role in an electronics manufacturing environment. Experience working with high performance RF products is a strong plus.

Highly experienced in interpreting detailed qualification plans and executing reliability testing.

Excellent working knowledge of reliability test equipment used in RF hybrid module and Integrated circuit stress testing.

Good understanding of physical and electrical failure analysis techniques used in defect detection.

Deep knowledge of ISO Quality Standards (ISO 9001, AS9001, MIL STD, JEDEC) and Quality Management Systems.
