Data Analyst - School of Public Health (13419)The West Virginia University Research Corporation is seeking applications for a Data Analyst in the School of Public Health Injury Control Research Center. This position is responsible for carrying out all WVU data analyses under the direct supervision of the PI and with consultation from other senior investigators.In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:Work closely with program members, leadership, and appropriate partners to design, implement, maintain, and manage database systems used for data collection and research purposesWork closely with team members and partners to identify and define data capturing and analyses proceduresProvide in-depth statistical analysis to support data outcome measures and projections by generating reports, graphs, and narrative evaluationsDesign and execute security procedures and standards to assure privacy and integrity of all database systemsCreate interim analytic and final project dataset and codebookQualificationsMaster's degree in statistics, data analysis, or related field;Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Two (2) years of relevant experience.Experience with R and SAS preferred.Excellent communication skillsExcellent planning and organizational skills, including the ability to manage a range of tasks with conflicting prioritiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCompetency in Microsoft Office and other programs necessary to complete workAbility to conduct, interpret and report multivariate statistical analysesAbility to accurately convey research findings to professional and lay audiences.West Virginia University Research Corporation is proud to be an Equal Opportunity employer.
