Description The Division of Enrollment Management at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a New Student Orientation (NSO) Program Coordinator. About the Opportunity The Program Coordinator manages and provides creative strategy and direction to New Student Orientation and other key recruitment outreach initiatives and events for Enrollment Management. Working with the Assistant Director of New Student Orientation and the VP of Enrollment Management to ensure planning and implementation of NSO is smooth and successful, onboarding each year's freshmen and transfer class. This position recruits, trains and provides daily supervision and coordination of assignments for all student staff as well as assist with the daily operations and data management within Enrollment Management. Partners with the Assistant Director of NSO to plan and implement the full cycle of NSO implementation, from the evaluation of the previous year to the planning throughout the academic year, and finally to the execution of the event each summer

Serve as one of the leaders of the NSO program and serve as a liaison to the campus community for the NSO program.

Serve as decision maker for NSO questions in absence of Assistant Director.

Lead the Orientation Leaders, from recruitment to hiring to training, including professional development and scheduling and daily management and motivation of30+ student orientation summer workers.

Manage all NSO meetings, organizing agendas, follow up and keeping track of assignments and follow through.

Coordinates data imports and exports from STAR to TargetX with the Office of Admissions, ITS, Card Services, Office of the Registrar, Student Systems Management and Student Affairs Administrative Technology Department to ensure regular data back-ups and exchange of information.

Ensures data accuracy through reporting and makes changes to student's files based upon correct information.

Works collaboratively with other recruitment and advising colleagues across campus to coordinate and execute advising appointments during new student onboarding.
