TEKsystems Electrical Maintenance Technician in Morris, Illinois

Job Title: Simulator Technician II

Location: Morris, IL

Job Type: Full-time (Part-time can be considered)

Work Hours: Base hours are 7AM - 3PM, 5 days a week (Flexible)

Travel: No travel to other sites required

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for repair and modification of simulators in a nuclear power plant.

  • Repair and maintain electrical equipment such as motors, generators commutators, circuit breakers, controls and relays, switches.

  • Make routine inspections of electrical equipment during outages and report conditions found.

  • Perform tasks related to low voltage electrical work such as wiring new switches, replacing switches, and rebuilding switches.

  • Provide technical support including PC board repair, card swapping, and managing computers that run the simulator.

  • Repair recorders used for indication, trending, and retention of data.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with a trade school background . No associate degree required.

  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical support, or a graduate from a trade school specializing in electricity/electronics/mechanics.

  • Basic understanding of computers.
