DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
A licensed and credentialed Physician Assistant provides diagnosis, treatment, conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, order and schedule laboratory studies, professional consultations and provide direct patient care services and follow-up in collaboration with supervising physicians. The Physician Assistant provides age and specialty appropriate medical care at the level of training achieved. Provides consultation and collaboration with providers on a regular and on-going basis.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional/Educational
Completion of an accredited Master's Degree in Physician Assistant program.
Completion of Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE). Certification by NCCPA.
Current Illinois Physician Assistant License.
Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), highly recommended.
DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
Personal
Works effectively with all levels of staffing, possessing tact, discretion, and diplomacy.
Demonstrates leadership and teaching ability.
Possesses the ability to work under pressure.
Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
