Formulation Development Intern

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct literature and patent search related to the defined project, drug delivery and formulation technologies and share the summary of the findings;

  • Design and refine prototypes with theconsideration of consumer insights, product stability, regulatory and medical acceptability;

  • Design and implement pre-formulation, raw material characterization, formulation, process, and basic analytical activities for new products using Quality by Design principles;

  • Perform experiments in the laboratory to formulate and test prototypes, and develop a lab-scale manufacturing process;

  • Compile data generated during experimentation and participate in data analysis to make meaningful recommendations;

  • Participate in consumer insights based new product ideation and product design sessions;

  • Interact regularly with all members of the formulation team in the Global Innovation & Development Center;

  • Present the internship project summary to the formulation team.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently a Bachelors or Master’s/Doctoral candidate in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or Chemical Engineering;

  • Skill & Competency Requirements: Experience with design of experiments (DOE) & data analysis;

  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently on multiple projects under aggressive timeline;

  • Strong computer & digital skills - Microsoft Office, DOE Software, modeling & simulation Good communication skills;

  • Has a positive, proactive attitude and willingly to learn;

  • Creative out-of-the box thinking and problem-solving.
