A day in the life of a Steam and Gas Mechanical Engineering
co-op at Siemens Energy at the Pittsburgh Service Center could be many different
things. That’s what makes this position so great. One day you may be working on
a new tooling design in CAD and the next you may be on a flight to a job site
to assist with an inspection. In this position, you will be expected to be
flexible and be able to move back and forth on different projects as our
business needs change.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Co-opwill report to Development Manager and will work directly with ourdevelopment group.
Performresearch and compilation of best practices for use in training and in thefield.
Assistand/or lead development of new tooling for use in field serviceapplications.
Organizetesting and trials of new tooling.
Participatein tooling reviews.
Helpdevelop technical documentation of processes and tooling.
What You Bring
Mustbe enrolled as an engineering student in a four-year undergraduateengineering university program.
Demonstratesand applies broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures formechanical work.
2.8Overall GPA or higher.
Applicants must be legally authorized
for employment in the United States without need for current or future
employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current
visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Gas Services
Our Gas Services
division offers Low-emission power generation through service and
decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines
under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities
through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
