WillowWood Global LLC Process Engineer in Mount Sterling, Ohio

WillowWood Global LLC is seeking a skilled and motivated Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Process Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure processes meet safety and regulatory standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

The essential responsibilities of this position include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:

  • - Process Design and Development:
    • Design and develop manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
    • Analyze workflows, space requirements, and equipment layout to maximize efficiency.
  • - Optimization:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
    • Implement lean manufacturing techniques to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • - Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure processes meet quality and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, FDA).
    • Develop and maintain documentation for processes, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • - Data Analysis:
    • Collect and analyze process data to monitor performance and identify trends.
    • Use statistical methods and software to optimize processes and solve problems.
  • - Collaboration:
    • Work closely with R&D, production, and quality control teams to ensure seamless process integration.
    • Provide technical support and training to production staff.
  • - Project Management:
    • Lead and manage process improvement projects from conception through implementation.
    • Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
  • - Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure all processes comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.

Essential Skills Required:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of experience in process engineering or a related field.
    • Experience in medical device manufacturing is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong mechanical / electro-mechanical aptitude.
    • Proficiency in process simulation and design software (e.g., Excel, SolidWorks).
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodology.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Certifications:
    • Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) is a plus.
    • PMP certification is a plus.
