Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tax Sr. Accountant to join our team in Mountain View, California (position is hybrid 3/2). The individual will be responsible for the preparation and completion of work papers and client deliverables such as tax returns and will directly support the Manager/Senior Manager/Principal. This role is part of the telecom industry and provides an exciting opportunity for those with a strong background in tax compliance and issues.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare all tax deliverables including returns and related filings for assigned clients/entities, ensuring the minimization of risk exposure
• Provide detailed focus on assigned projects, identify potential tax issues and participate in discussions regarding their resolution
• Identify potential tax issues and develop possible solutions for review with Tax Manager, Senior Manager, or Principal
• Deliver timely and high-quality work products that meet or exceed internal and external expectations
• Develop ability to research technical tax issues and assist client service team in forming conclusions related to complex tax issues
• Proactively communicate areas where technical tax knowledge is needed, and work with Manager/Senior Manager/Principal to determine personal development
Requirements
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax role
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and review Federal Tax Returns
• Expertise in Individual Taxation
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is preferred
• Understanding and knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes and laws
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
