CTB Specialist for Fixed Income Reference Data Operations
This role primarily sits within the CTB team that supports the RDS operations team in driving change initiatives. The role is multi-faceted, offering the opportunity to take ownership for, and contribute towards the success of facilitating projects through their entire lifecycle. The individual would work closely with a variety of cross-product business functions and the technology that supports our business processes. Ever-developing market and regulatory environments offer both challenges and opportunities across the organization.
The successful candidate will perform a variety of functions and must demonstrate:
Product ownership and business analysis, preferably within Agile framework
Proven project and program management experience with evidence of successful delivery against targets
Knowledge and effective application of the principles and discipline of project management, particularly in an AGILE model
Experience and ability to drive active engagements with stakeholder across divisions
Business analysis skills coupled with a strong track record developing functional knowledge
Ability to evaluate complex & large data sets through analysis and draw insightful inferences driving meaningful outcomes
Sound understanding of product reference data and associated market data providers
Ability to manage changing priorities and objectives
Primary Responsibilities
The role requires the candidate to work in the Product Reference Data Operations teams and partner with Technology to deliver on a variety of strategic change initiatives. Specific responsibilities will include but not limited to,
Actively engage with stakeholders, SMEs and sponsors soliciting requirements
Develop strong business cases with tangible business outcomes
Create healthy pipeline / product backlog and manage prioritization through effective engagement with stakeholders
Drive business outcomes by effectively delivering in the capacity of the specific role within the team / Agile squad
Lead and drive business analysis challenging the BAs ensuring clear requirements are presented
Responsible to drive solutions in partnership with technology that are strategic in nature
Report risks, issues and challenges proactively
Own the delivery from requirements (user stories) to production release / rollout collaborating with team/squad members
Skills required (essential)
Good understanding of Fixed Income reference data operations
Demonstrated Project / Software Delivery Management skills including issue and risk management, planning and control
Ability to influence senior management views / decisions through strong collaboration with Ops and Tech partners
Demonstrated problem solving and business analysis skills, i.e. the ability to develop an approach to solve operational challenges
Ability to manage conflicts, develop consensus and drive forward the delivery
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented
Ability to work well under time constraints with multiple deliveries / projects
Advanced MS Office skills, including MS Project/ MS PowerPoint
Skills desired.
Ability to understand technical designs and data models specifically around data management
Understanding of fixed income business and products
Knowledge of Agile principles, concepts and common pit falls
Experience working within operations particularly in product reference data for an investment bank
