Citigroup Global Trade & Working Capital Loan Ops SVP - C14 - MUMBAI in Mumbai, India

This position will work closely with the Global Head of Trade & Working Capital Loans (TWCL) Operations, regional operations heads and Working Capital Loans Product team to embed the new global TWCL operations function and deliver transformational change across the global footprint to deliver against the business and operational vision ( T W CL TOM ).

TWCL Ops has a significant growth agenda with short term working capital loans migrating into TWCL and additional client segments integrating into TWCL. Key strategic deliverables include wider adoption of digital loans, STP/automation, and process/system standardisation to drive efficiency and support this growth.

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities will include the following:

Support Global Head of Trade & Working Capital Loans Operations in establishing global TWCL Ops function , including:

  • (i) Embed TWCL Ops virtual core team – work with regional representatives to achieve deliverables, document, drive and track actions

  • (ii) Develop and embed global monthly reporting dashboards and performance oversight forums – source meaningful data to populate TWCL Ops dashboards and drive analysis to support increased digitisation/automation and standardisation. Drive/track actions and deliverables and effectively monitor benefits of changes

  • (iii) Provide oversight and co-ordinate with all service providers (Citi & 3rd party), including Loan Operations

Collaborate with business/product partners and regional operations leadership and apply innovative thinking to identify opportunities and drive transformational change via WCL TOM across global TWCL Ops processes, including:

  • (i) Complete operating model gap analysis (current state v future vision) for key locations. Identify recommendations, define roadmap and drive implementation of required changes

  • (ii) Investigate, document, and implement process changes globally to improve customer experience, drive standardization, automation and digitization to support business growth and the strategic agenda. For example, review of all trade loans documentation requirements across all regions

  • Lead and deliver against other key strategic project deliverables , for example

  • (i) Digitization: Work with country Ops and Product representatives to drive digital loans adoption in key locations by defining and implementing a detailed plan for digital loan transactions. Identify any barriers to adoption of digital loans at scale and remove those barriers

  • (ii) Additional product migration/client segment integration: Establish and embed relevant oversight models. Identify requirements to support integration, and implement required changes

Collaborate with Tech team and business/product partners to standardize TWCL global systems and drive changes to move towards the strategic architecture.

Lead programme of due diligence for product processor switch over , including review of current processes and requirements gathering for new system across all regions.

Drive and implement any interim steps to move towards the strategic architecture e.g. migration from local systems to TRIMS.

Collaborate with business/product partners, regional ops and regional functions to innovate and support new products/product rollouts .

Act as TWCL procedural expert , representing the function on cross-functional operational project deliverables. Deputise for Global Head TWCL Ops when required.

Act as TWCL representative for Tech changes under Agile environment. As active member of relevant sprints, define and approve requirement for Tech changes, ensure changes are delivered in time, meet requirements, are embedded effectively in the business and deliver anticipated benefits. Ensure new changes are effectively commercialised on a timely basis. Act as Ops owner of TWCL Book Of Work and provide input into prioritisation and funding discussions – ensuring alignment with wider Trade Ops leadership team and TWCL Product.

Knowledge & Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of the TWCL business, processes and systems within Citi.

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and the ability to understand how financial transactions affect the operating systems/GL.

  • Successful experience in managing transformation and reengineering of operations processes.

  • Project management/execution and delivery experience. Experience in delivering results and meeting financial plans.

  • Proven ability to present complex ideas, negotiate and influence senior leaders across diverse functions.

  • Proven accountability and ownership of E2E processes and programs.

Education

  • Bachelors Degree/university degree or equivalent experience
