VMware Director of Service Provider Operations Transformation - Opportunity for Working Remotely in Munich, Germany

The Director of Service Provider Operations Transformation is responsible for ensuring our customers can operate next generation Telco networks at scale and take advantage of our industry leading solutions. You will then bring this experience and expertise within VMware to ensure we are continuing to evolve our offering to meet customer evolving needs.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

  • As a Director of Service Provider Operations Transformation,you hold the responsibilityto closely engage with our largest Telco customers to understand both theirstrategicobjectives, andhowourtechnologysolutions are leveragedto meet their business goals, in order to supportongoingevolutionof theiroperations.

  • With your leading edge thinking you will create leadership in the market by developingand communicating a vision 2030 and strategy foroperating at scale for VMware’s largest SP customers globally

  • Youwillbecontinuoslylearningfromourpartners andcustomerstocreatea best practiceportfolio andexamplesof howtooperatea next generationnetworkat scale.

  • You will play a role in educatingthe market, creatingtruethoughtleadershipandbuildingoutVMware’smarketleadership.

  • You will use your understanding of AIOps and NOCorganisational concepts to develop a framework for transformation for VMware’s SP customers to bring best practice and help them re-engineer their operations to fit a modern technology.

  • You will hold the responsibility for ensuring the overall health of VMware’s growing Telco customer base by advocating for customer business needs withinSEBU product management, sales, support, services, and engineering organisations.

  • Within 30 days of employment, you will be able to successfully develop consultative relationships with key decisions makers within assigned global SP accounts, and further elevate executive relationships. In doing this you will have the opportunity to capitalize on and grow your leadership skills and knowledge.

  • Within 60 days of employment, you will have developed a first version of a customer engagement framework, including a methodology to engage the customer, drive assessment against our benchmarking to advisethem on their operation transformation.

  • You will be able to think strategically about customer success and adapt your approach based on individual and evolving customer needs.

  • Use your proven experience to provide leadership, coaching, and guidance for our highest revenuecustomers in the carrier space

  • Learnfromthecustomersandbring best practicestooptimiseourtechnologyand service offeringsacrossVMware.

  • Deliver a 2030 visionforTelco Operations

  • Develop and test the engagement framework for operations transformation

  • Provide forecasting on customers growth as well as potential risksin adoption

  • Build strategic relationships with customer executives and senior stakeholders to support the execution of their business goals by designing and articulating their operations transformation journey to their teams

  • Build strategic relationships with team members/leaders and other executives in the SEBU to ensure a continuous feedback loop

  • Partner with other teams and executives to discover, collaborate and ensure close of new and add-on business within your portfolio of accounts

  • Travel 25 - 50% of the time
