POSITION SUMMARYThe Production Manager oversees all manufacturing activities within the company including scheduling, CNC production, and inspection of precision metal parts. Maintains overall manufacturing objectives and initiatives and helps to ensure on-time delivery. Confronts and solves performance/operational issues to improve development efficiency. Leads and develops the manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience with ISO9001 and AS 9100 standards and be willing to work in a team environment to solve manufacturing challenges. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSOversee and manages a 50-person production team including supervisors and operators, maintenance, set-up technicians and shipping/receiving staffResponsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all production departments to achieve the Company goals and objectivesDeliver results for KPIs in Quality, Cost, On-time Delivery, Safety, and MoraleMaintaining employee morale by creating a safe and efficient working environmentDevelop the skills of all employees to maximize the overall operational efficienciesOrganize and direct workflow to satisfy all production requirements in the most cost-efficient mannerPlan and maintain production schedulesCommunication with customers to manage the production needs and expectations of both the customer and RSI Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and proceduresSupport and promote RSI's culture of teamwork and safetyMaintain open communication with all departmentsManage all production activity and staff including CNC machining, assembly and collaborates with Engineering when neededMaintain product and Company reputation by complying with government regulationsKeep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special serviceApply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectivenessIdentify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials, and partsProvide technical expertise or support related to manufacturingOversee and coordinate a robust Preventative Maintenance programDevelop and maintain operations and efficiency improvementsExhibit a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSTen (10) years of experience in a metal machining environmentHigh level leadership and decision-making skillsAbility to motivate, influence, and educate employeesAbility to easily interact within all levels of the organizationWorking knowledge of manufacturing / mechanical processes and equipmentRepetitive production experienceExperience with a larger company to implement processes driven approach to operationsExcellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skillsExperience with ISO-9001 and AS-9100 certificationsUnited States Citizenship required by contract PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in engineering and/or manufacturing technology preferredWorking knowledge of CNC programmingExperience leading operators in a CNC environment WORK ENVIRONMENTClimate-controlled shop TRAVELThis position may require travel up to 5% of the time POSITION TYPEThis is a full-time exempt position RELOCATIONRelocation expenses are not provided HIRING PREFERENCEVeteran Hiring & Native American Preferences will be applied in accordance with BE policy RSI is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
