Job Title Institutional Effectiveness Coordinator

General Job Description
This is a professional position responsible for providing expertise on the functional and technical aspects of assessment, continuous improvement processes, and course offering analysis that supports a culture of institutional effectiveness throughout the university. Responsible for analyzing and interpreting assessment data and coordinating action plans with stakeholders. Works under general supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the Director of Institutional Effectiveness.
Essential Job Functions
Coordinates and oversees the assessment of program learning outcomes and improvement objectives to ensure the university’s academic excellence.
Manages and streamlines university-level processes associated with academic course schedule development, optimizing course offerings to meet student needs.
Collaborates with faculty, staff, and administrators to develop efficient processes and procedures that enhance institutional effectiveness across all areas.
Analyzes and interprets data to generate actionable insights on course supply and demand, coordinating necessary action plans with stakeholders.
Evaluates university, college, and department/school level assessment plans and results to identify evidence of improvement, quality, and effectiveness, providing constructive feedback to relevant stakeholders.
Prepares written reports for internal and external audiences and delivers presentations to technical and non-technical stakeholders as required.
Develops and leads training sessions for various university stakeholders to improve their understanding of institutional effectiveness concepts and tools.
Establishes and maintains guidelines and standards for software products used by the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, providing written instructions for faculty and staff.
Manages the workflow related to recurring accreditation requirements, contributing to the development and coordination of accreditation documentation.

Organizational skills in managing projects simultaneously while maintaining a satisfactory work product.

Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate programs.
Ability to implement new procedures and to evaluate their effectiveness.

Ability to work effectively within a complex organizational structure.
Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
Physical Demands
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree is required.
Required Experience and Training
Two years of related experience with a focus on problem-solving and working with multi-functional teams is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree is preferred. Experience in program evaluation, assessment, measurement, research, analysis, change management, and higher education accreditation is preferred.

Benefit and Retirement Eligibility
This position is eligible for participation in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas ( TRS ) retirement plan, subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
