Halmar International LLC is seeking a Project Engineer for its office in Nanuet, NY. This role will be responsible for assisting in the management of Transportation construction projects, including cost control, work planning, submittals, scheduling, and coordination of subcontractors. This position requires no domestic travel. Potential candidates must possess a Master’s degree in engineering management, civil engineering, or related and two years of experience with the following duties: Managing project information, cost, estimates, accounting, engineering, designing, procurement, and scheduling; Managing purchase orders and subcontracts with accumulative value of at least $500 million; Managing cost projections, cash flows, and Risk & Opportunity evaluations on a monthly and quarterly basis; Managing allowance work accounts with a budget of at least $8 million, creating work plans, and negotiating work values; Maintaining files of working documents as backup for estimate figures, including information on suppliers and subcontractors; Developing Data Analysis tools and models using information software to track and analyze project risks and cost information; Analyzing project delays and cost impacts to determine cost-effective acceleration plans; Monitoring and managing MBE/WBE plans based on appropriate regulations. Applicants holding a Bachelor’s degree in engineering management, civil engineering, or related plus five years of experience performing the above-listed duties will also be considered.
