Job Description

The sales pricing analyst will be working with a complex data structure to help determine and set competitive prices to gain market share, achieve revenue goals and guarantee profitable business. This is a highly analytical role that requires the sales pricing analyst to consider data from multiple sources and develop complex pricing models that reflect margins for pricing based on competitor, market, and customer data and other influences like fabrication workload.


  • Analyze Pricing Data: assessing data from a variety of sources and using it to derive insights into pricing strategies and market trends. Using quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze competitor pricing, assess market share and margins, and track customer engagement in order to gain a complete picture of effective pricing strategies .

  • Develop Pricing Tools: Develop pricing tools that will be used throughout the company to more quickly respond to changing market needs or trends. These tools can include dynamic pricing that allows the company to quickly adjust prices to enhance sales volume and conversion rates, as well as tools that streamline the analysis process and provide more immediate information about competitor prices and promotions. This is important in the after sales / spare parts business where several price updates occur during the year.

  • Present Findings to Key Decision-Makers - Present findings to executives, sales team, and operations during monthly meetings. Translating complex data into actionable strategies and techniques to drive sales and enhance marketing efforts. Preparing both written reports and visual presentations to share findings.

  • Support: Sector finance team providing greater visibility of profit drivers, identifying bleeders, and projects with decreasing profitability

  • Provide Pricing: review on existing deals with a focus on increasing margin improvement


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Accounting

  • 3-5 years experience working within the Finance support industry

  • Strong working knowledge in Excel, including advanced formulas & pivot tables

  • Excellent quantitative & analytical skills, with attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and integrity

  • Inquisitive mindset - Ability to look for particularities in data and bring insight into best practices and simplifying processes

  • Consulting experience is a plus

  • Mastery of Microsoft Excel
