Amazon Automation Solutions Engineer, Reliability and Automation Engineering Team (RAE) in Nashville, Tennessee

The EURME Central Reliability Team is seeking a forward-thinking Automation Solutions Engineer to lead the design, maintenance, and implementation of automation solutions that set new benchmarks for performance, reliability, energy efficiency and sustainability.

To succeed in this role, you should bring:

• Advanced expertise in high-level software development

• Strong PLC programming skills

• Experience in designing tools that automate and streamline operations

• Proficiency in analyzing metrics to optimize processes

• Capability to communicate complex technical challenges clearly across teams

• Leadership experience in managing regional controls projects

• Ability to identify and address patterns affecting system performance, reliability, or availability

• Strong understanding of process flows and conveying systems

• Ability to act as a technical leader and escalation point for teams and stakeholders

• Proficiency in working with SQL databases, including querying, managing, and optimizing data

• Ability to diagnose and resolve controls issues

• Ability to prioritize in a complex and fast-paced environment

• Experience in advising and steering vendor projects

• Experience in leading or being a signatory in a change management process

• Ability to identify and address patterns affecting system performance, reliability, or availability

• Knowledge of machinery safety regulations and safe working practices

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust

  • Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Proven track record of serving as a technical leader in a team setting, guiding projects and mentoring colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of database systems and SQL

  • Experience building services using AWS products

  • Experience working in an Agile environment
