Naval Intelligence Command SECURITY SPECIALIST in National Maritime Intelligence Center, Maryland

Summary You will serve as Security Specialist / Personnel Security within the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) responsible for providing guidance and policy information, and implementation standards regarding the management and execution of security policies and requirements for the Personnel Security, Information Security and Physical Security Program within the ONI enterprise in the OFFICE OF NAVAL INTELLIGENCE. Responsibilities Determines the suitability and security eligibility of individuals for entry and retention in sensitive and non-sensitive positions. Coordinates, or performs functions and tasks involved in the development, evaluation, implementation, or execution of information security programs. Performs physical security functions and tasks relative to an assigned area in the security technology fields of intrusion detection systems, access control systems, and sound masking systems. Collects, reviews, interprets, evaluates and integrates data from multiple sources in assessing the relevance and significance of developments. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following such as: 1) Provide guidance and policy information to implement standards regarding the management and execution of security policies and requirements; 2) Offer advice and direction for the planning and implementation of the Personnel Security (PERSEC), Information Security (INFOSEC), and Physical Security (PHYSEC) Programs, that have a major impact on organizational operations; 3) Identify security gaps to specify requirements for the filling of security gaps and evaluate the data through security reviews and inspections.
