What’s a typical day as an Overhead Crane Technician? You’ll be:
Performing OSHA equivalent inspections; documenting and completing warranty work
Performing preventive maintenance work as requested
Supporting customers by effectively interfacing with customer and office in repairing equipment as needed
Performing electrical and/or mechanical adjustments or repairs with or without engineered drawings
Maintaining rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions, and suggesting improved methods and techniques
Documenting service installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklists
Maintaining a professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas
Developing a working knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists
Being responsible for company equipment including company vehicle(s) and tools
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
Have 1-2 years’ experience troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment (preferred)
Have an Associate’s degree with a concentration in Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanical Technology (preferred)
Can develop a working knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists
Are capable of performing inspections to OSHA criteria
Can work independently
Are capable of dealing directly with the customer and representing yourself and the company in a professional manner
Possess strong communication skills both internally and externally, informing both the company and the customer of the status of the job
Are quality and results-driven while maintaining a safety mindset
Are required to use your own hand tools and meter
Have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
