The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

The Position

Business Process Analysts apply an in-depth knowledge of the agency's program areas to define and implement a solution to a given problem that requires an individually tailored response for end-user requirements.

Under limited supervision, incumbents perform the full range of journey level duties described in the series concept. Incumbents may serve as a leadworker as assigned.

The Department of Employment, Training, and Rehab is currently seeking to fill a Business Process Analyst 2 (BPA2). This position will be located in Carson City. The incumbent is responsible for providing comprehensive customer service and technical support both internally and externally. This includes offering expert guidance of the Aware case management system, Sara communication tool, and DocuSign. The role involves assisting with issues related to passwords, data entry, data integrity, reporting, and caseload management. The BPA2 also supports the planning, research, monitoring, testing, and data validation of systems, including troubleshooting, testing, and validating internal controls. Additionally, this position assists in analyzing the regulatory environment by reviewing new and revised federal and state laws, regulations, and agency policies, interpreting their impact on the program area, and coordinating with other professional staff. The incumbent ensures the timely and accurate submission of the Division's various federal, state, and agency reports. This position plays a critical role as the technical liaison between program staff, state, and federal partners. To Qualify:

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, management information systems, or other disciplines related to the assignment and two years of professional experience in a related program area analyzing and interpreting program laws, regulations, policies and procedures, which included one year of experience applying recognized data processing concepts to business process planning and analyses; OR one year of experience as a Business Process Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

Special Requirements

A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for fingerprinting.
