Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Project Coordinator II for the Center for Prevention Science, within the School of Social Work. This position requires quantitative and qualitative data collection and management, working with a wide variety of individuals and organizations, including state agencies and research team members.Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Conducts qualitative interviews, data management, preparing literature reviews, conducting qualitative data analysis, and preparing written reports.
  • Spends their effort on an externally funded grant to engage youth and family in the Continuous Quality Improvement efforts of New Jersey's Department of Children and Families' Division of Child Protection and Permanency (NJ DCPP).
  • Develops and implements surveys and interviews.
  • Manages research protocols, developing timelines, tracking and assessing deliverable progress and ensuring timely and accurate flow of information.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, human services or related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of project management, organization, data analysis, and report writing.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and project coordination skills.
  • Experience with coordination with stakeholders, data collection, and evaluation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience and fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn qualitative data analysis software (e.g., NVIVO).
  • Experience in the child welfare field; experience in evaluation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree is preferred in social work, public health, public administration, or related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of project coordination experience.
  • Spanish language proficiency.
Equipment Utilized
  • Experience using Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook.
