Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Program Assistant for the Center of Alcohol & Substance Use Studies. This position reports to the Executive Director (Dr. Denise Hien) and Associate Director (Dr. Peggy Swarbrick). Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Works with a multidisciplinary team and collaborates with investigators nationwide.
- Coordinates projects related to traumatic stress and addictions and promotion of wellness and recovery models.
- Interfaces with all professional staff in the office, as well as co-investigators from multiple institutions.

Minimum Education and Experience | - Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field or discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant research experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities | - Knowledge of general principles and practices within a discipline and ability to use that knowledge for practical application.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of research terminology related to manuscript publication.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Quick learning curve. Eager to learn new skills and enjoy variety and diversified work.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to tend to detail.
- Ability to understand and follow basic scientific research protocol and procedure and maintain records.
- Familiarity with publication processes, especially reference and citation management (Mendeley, Zotero, Endnote)
- Highly proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), email, internet
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively.
