Liberty Diversified International Sr Payroll and Total Rewards Coordinator in New Hope, Minnesota

Description We seek an experienced Sr Payroll and Total Rewards Coordinator proficient in payroll processing and HRIS technology who is a detail-oriented self-starter. In this role, you will be responsible for benefits tasks such as audit support, cyclical compensation process support, calculating self-billed benefits invoices, and troubleshooting benefit enrollment issues in the HR Information & Payroll System (ADP). POSITION SUMMARY The Sr Payroll & Total Rewards Coordinator is responsible for supporting the growing HR Operations and Total Rewards teams in processing payroll biweekly and administering various Benefits & Compensation programs. In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, this role will act as a liaison between the Payroll and Total Rewards teams, providing a unique opportunity to experience various work spanning these two growing functions that support Liberty Diversified International's (LDI) global workforce. This full-time position will report to the Director Total Rewards in addition to a 'dotted line' reporting relationship to the Payroll Supervisor at our Corporate location in New Hope, MN. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Payroll (25% of time) Under the direction of the Payroll Supervisor and in partnership with the Sr Payroll Coordinator, manage United States payroll administration for select biweekly payrolls. Maintain and recommend payroll best practices to improve efficiency and consult with the HR Operations team to improve payroll and HRIS processes. Support fiscal and calendar year-end payroll processes. Support payroll integration of employees through mergers and acquisitions. Other Payroll duties, as assigned. Total Rewards (75% of time) Support the administration of the United States and Mexico employee total rewards programs, including day-to-day operations, governance, compliance, troubleshooting, and employee communication activities. Perform regular audits of total rewards data to ensure integrity and compliance with the total rewards plan documents and payroll requirements. Act as a key partner in the benefit annual enrollment and merit processes, supporting the communication, employee enrollment, data entry, training, and responding to employee questions for said processes. Support Total Rewards system setup and data exchange process between LDI and its various vendor partners; serve as the primary LDI contact with internal HRIS resources and vendors to resolve file feed issues. Coordinates leave of absence programs and acts as primary liaison between LDI and third-party leave administrator. Research, troubleshoot, and resolve various employee benefits and compensation-related questions and issues. Partner with internal and external resources to support the annual Benefit Plan Audit, 401k audit, and 5500 filing process. Proactively identifies and recommends system, data, and process improvements to increase efficiencies and productivity for the Total Rewards, Payroll, and HR Business partner teams. Provide administrative support for LDI recognition programs. Other Total Rewards duties, as assigned. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Associate or other two-year degree or equivalent experience At least three (3) years of experience in payroll processing Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or other payroll certification, or willingness to work towards certification Proficient in payroll processing and HRIS benefits system experience Comprehensive understanding of federal and state regulations as they pertain to Payroll & Total Rewards Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel Strong time management and organizational skills to ensure all Payroll and Total Rewards transactions are processed timely and accurately Ability to problem-solve and analyze situations involving systems nd numbers Ability to communicate with employees at all levels, including to educate and respond to questions Reliable, detail-oriented self-starter, and collaborative team player Proven ability to handle confidential information and matters PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS ADP experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
