Critical leader AND individual contributor to Northwell's Innovation & Transformation team in defining & determining innovation priorities & advancing the team roadmap for both external partnership opportunities & internal initiatives. Able to independently drive workstreams, including sourcing & evaluating potential solutions, facilitating partnership & soliciting/incorporating inputs from individuals across various organizational vertical / teams, and leading the assessment and communication of the value impact on the health system. Looking for an individual who is self-driven, experienced and comfortable interfacing with senior executives, and able to operate in a fast-paced environment navigating through ambiguity, managing competing stakeholder interests, & appropriately handling multiple workstreams simultaneously. Provide guidance and mentorship to other team members

  1. Quickly able to build a deep expertise in ongoing enterprise operations, initiatives, and Northwell's technology platform ecosystem so as to appropriately frame new innovations in the context of Northwell's current environment, software stack, business processes & organizational needs.

  2. Lead market assessments of potential innovative solutions, including organizational capacity / capabilities, technology / services / product reviews, competitive landscape analysis, understanding peer institution approaches, monitoring / digesting industry reports, designing, interpreting, & building cost/ROI models, and/or drawing out the most relevant insights from vendor demos & discussions. Able to quickly understand the fit of possible solutions within the context of Northwell's existing strategic priorities and investments & communicate this clearly to other stakeholders.

  3. Able to serve as the primary day-to-day 'owner' of partner relationships - monitoring partner activities & providing feedback based on organizational context and/or leader & other stakeholder needs. Preference for prior experience managing relationships with partners, vendors, consultants and/or customers,

  4. Creates materials for & able to give executive level presentations communicating updates and framing decisions on strategic initiatives. Demonstrates poise, strong public speaking skills, and adaptability in quickly reacting in the moment to audience questions/feedback

Job Description

Assists in the development, coordination and administration of strategic initiatives,

partnerships and programs in support of health system goals and network expansion.

Participates in the development and implementation of financial and strategic planning

activities. Works collaboratively with internal stakeholders to identify

partnership opportunities, mutual goals/objectives, and facilitate strategic alliances.

Job Responsibility

Collaborates with senior leadership to identify prospective partners to ensure

health system's strategic, sustainable growth, through the creation of strategic

alliances with like-minded and culturally aligned providers in key market areas.

  • Works collaboratively with internal stakeholders to identify

partnership opportunities, mutual goals/objectives, and strategic alliances.

  • Recognizes opportunities to collaborate in the development of innovative

solutions to reduce costs and achieve operational efficiencies.

  • Evaluates new initiatives based on their projected impact on

organization operations, financial standing, and market position; recognizes

program expansion opportunities and interfaces with internal stakeholders to

recommend growth initiatives.

  • Serves as technical advisor to management as needed; Collaborates with internal stakeholders to organize and analyze information related to business models for new initiatives.

  • Provides technical guidance in terms of evaluating the likely financial

impact of proposed new services; works with the leadership to establish

infrastructure, identify resources, setup and operationalize initiatives.

  • Assist in identifying strategic partners. Serves as liaison and fosters communication between organizations as applicable.

  • Develops and determines priorities, and monitors status of initiatives to ensure

that they are achieving expected goals and objectives; assists in managing

small to medium sized project budgets by providing continued support in preparation and

allocation of funds.

  • Assists in implementation of Human Resources plans to achieve strategic

goals and objectives including organizational development, recruiting,

compensation, training and development, and employee engagement and

relations; ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws, regulatory

requirements and Joint Commission standards.

Job Qualification

Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and

related experience.

  • 5 - 7 years of relevant experience required, and leadership / management experience preferred.

Highly preferred:

  • At least 2-3 years of healthcare experience is also preferred, especially prior experience working in or closely with provider organizations

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).

The salary range for this position is $121,200-$212,100/year
