Education Requirement: ☐Ph.D. ☐MS ☒BS ☐AA ☐High School – bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Professional Writing, Creative Writing, or related field and three years’ experience writing and managing proposals with major Federal agencies. Degree can be substituted with 5 – 7 years’ experience managing proposals. Proposal Manager Certification Requirement: APMP Foundation Certification or equivalent knowledge of best practices in proposal development Completion of Shipley Core courses or equivalent Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and other web-based collaboration applications Qualifications: Must have 3+ years of experience managing the development of compliant and competitive content in response to RFPs and RFIs. Extensive knowledge and understanding of the DFAR, FAR, and DoD / Federal acquisition solicitations. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy. Expert-level communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working with Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat. Ability to independently manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Desired - Bachelor’s degree Understanding of industry best practices in proposal management, i.e., Shipley, etc. Position is remote with travel as minimal needed Job Description: The Proposal Manager will support Nexagen Network’s Proposal Development team as directed by the VP of Capture Operations and Growth. This role is responsible for the development of compliant, high quality, and timely proposal content throughout the proposal lifecycle for DoD and Federal customers. This position is a remote, full-time, exempt, mid-level position that successfully learns and applies new concepts and skills to their proposal management knowledge base. Duties and Responsibilities: Manages and leads proposal efforts throughout the complete proposal lifecycle. Coordinates efforts across multiple projects simultaneously. Organizes and manages meetings. Trains, coaches, and mentors proposal team members. Plans, schedules, and manages proposal development efforts and proposal plans. Requests, collects, and organizes information and presents results to VP of Capture Operations and Growth. Research topics of interest and presents findings to Nexagen leadership. Creates and maintains filing system in SharePoint portal for proposal development. Develops document outlines and compliance matrices. Creates writing templates, outlines, PowerPoint slides, schedules, and other proposal tools to ensure quality results. Documents and maintains proposal processes. Ensures proposal compliance and responsiveness. Ensures proposal materials are properly formatted for final production/submission. Edits proposal sections per internal writing guides. Creates document content through interviews with subject matter experts. Other duties as assigned. .
