JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Details: This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This Maintenance Mechanic troubleshoots and repairs electrical and mechanical equipment throughout the plant. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide preventative maintenance electrical or mechanical operation. Ability to install /maintain hydraulic equipment, pumps, motors, cylinders. Troubleshoot or repair mechanical equipment. Ability to change out or set up equipment, i.e., mixers, pumps, processing equipment. Must be able to change out and set-up equipment for operation. Must be able to perform minor prefab and run machine shop equipment. Personnel are responsible for cleaning their work area. Must be able to work overtime if required. May be subject to call back on weekends and holidays . Complete all other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months ) General knowledge of gear drives and conveyors, required General knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, required. Able to work weekends, and holidays, required.
