Description
This Accounts Receivable (A/R) position is an opportunity to grow with a thriving company. Dynamic organization with a noteworthy benefits package has an Accounts Receivable position available through Robert Half. This permanent opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Coordinator is in the New York, New York area. You might be a good fit for this position if you can enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging reports, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, and update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L.
Your responsibilities
Validate documents and codes
Post and balance financial information in a number of ledgers while reconciling bank accounts
Respond to requests for information from shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders
Carry out general accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures
Handle payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
Support, relate, and strengthen the mission, values and culture of the organization
Work with clients to solve payment issues; set up payment plans as needed
Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
Established analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
ERP system experience
2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
Collections experience preferred
Strong familiarity with Billing Collection
Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Billing experience preferred
Detailed and have the ability work independently
