  • As a Bankruptcy Associate, you will regularly represent a whole range of stakeholders, including corporate debtors, investors and asset purchasers, committees, bondholders, secured and unsecured creditors, parties dealing with distressed businesses, officers and directors, and other interested parties in corporate restructuring, bankruptcy proceedings, and related litigation throughout the United States.

  • While a sizable portion of your practice will involve representing financial institutions in large and middle-market restructuring situations, you will also represent companies and private equity sponsors in workout scenarios, distressed M&A and change of control transactions.

  • You will represent lenders and financial stakeholders in numerous private restructurings in virtually every industry, including oil and gas, retail, power, media, industrials, aerospace, telecommunications, real estate, transportation and pharma/healthcare, and others.

  • Bankruptcy Associates must be licensed in NY, NJ, or CT.

  • Qualified candidates should have a minimum of three years of relevant bankruptcy law experience and/or recent bankruptcy court judicial clerkship experience. Candidates must have excellent legal analysis and writing skills, academic credentials, and references.
