City of New York E-Business Suite (EBS) Developer in New York, New York

Job Description

The New York City Housing Authority’s Information Technology (NYCHA IT) Department is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Administrative Systems (Financials) Team.

NYCHA has an extensive Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) of Applications. We are looking for a technical developer with a solid understanding of the EBS functionality and the technical expertise.

Current EBS modules include the following:

  • Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Grants Accounting, Property Manager, Purchasing, Sourcing, Procurement contracts, i-Supplier, i-Procurement, Order Management, General Ledger,

    Fixed Assets, Markview Imaging, and Cash Management.

Under direction of the Development Manager of the Administrative Systems (Financials) Team, the EBS Developer will be responsible for both functional SDLC tasks and technical development work in PL/SQL, personalization's, and customizations of Oracle EBS.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Oracle EBS applications, including customizations, extensions, and interfaces.

  • Perform application development using Oracle Application Framework technology.

  • Develop and customize reports using Oracle EBS reporting tools like Oracle Reports and BI Publisher.

  • Use Oracle Application Express (APEX) to create and modify forms as needed.

  • Work collaboratively with functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Work closely with team to build, test, and deliver scalable, efficient solutions that meet business requirements.

  • Develop ODI code to perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), load data in star schema and develop OBIEE models and dashboards.

  • Document technical requirements, configurations, design specifications, test plans, test cases, and technical troubleshoot guide.

  • Develop technical test scripts and perform testing.

  • Analyze and modify code to meet R12.2 coding standards.

  • Diagnose and resolve complex system problems and debug code.

  • Perform technical analysis to resolve issues and streamline operations.

  • Troubleshoot production issues and identify and develop solutions.

  • Collaborate with Oracle support and support vendors to resolve issues and implement fixes.

  1. INTERAGENCY TRANSFERS INTO NYCHA OF THOSE PERMANENT IN TITLE ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE FACE OF AN ACTIVE AND VIABLE NYCHA PROMOTION LIST OR

    PREFERRED IS FOR THE SAME TITLE.

  2. Candidates with permanent civil service status in the titles of Computer Systems Manager or Computer Specialist will be considered.

Qualifications

  1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics or related field and six years of satisfactory full-time experience related to enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, network architecture and/or IT infrastructure systems; or

  2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and ten years of satisfactory full-time experience related to enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, network architecture and/or IT infrastructure systems; or

  3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above.
