Robert Half Financial Analyst/Manager in New York, New York

Description We are seeking a Financial Analyst/Manager to join our legal team in New York. In this role, you will serve as a point of contact for assigned practice groups and offices, providing financial analysis and support for client meetings and negotiations. You will be responsible for analyzing revenue, maintaining profitability data, and creating financial presentations for management. Responsibilities:

• Serve as a point of contact for assigned Practice Groups and Offices • Analyze revenue, profitability, and key drivers in collaboration with Firm management • Provide financial analysis and support for client meetings and rate negotiations • Model prospective engagements and pricing scenarios • Calculate and report historic and projected profitability data • Ensure the accuracy of client/matter reporting tools and related reports • Utilize various reporting systems/databases to prepare periodic reports consolidating financial data for the firm's clients, practice areas, and service lines • Provide accurate and relevant financial reports as requested by management • Work with Billing to ensure rates are properly applied and understand how specific timekeepers are being reported • Advise on technical accounting issues to ensure proper mapping of time and billing transactions • Develop and mentor detail oriented team, ensuring work is appropriately reviewed • Support Data Analytics Team and related projects. Requirements • Possess a thorough understanding of financial analysis and analytics

• Proficient in profitability analysis and analyzing revenues

• Experience with Aderant and Tableau software

• Ability to communicate financial data effectively to a non-financial audience

• Proven track record in a legal financial analyst or manager role

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications

• detail oriented certification (e.g., CFA/CPA) is a plus.
