Summary

This position is responsible for coordination and oversight of bus service planning activities including express, local and limited stop service for the Authority. This includes concept development, data collection and analysis, public participation, inter-agency coordination, coordination of customer information, service change follow-up monitoring. These tasks are employed to design and implement route path, service, and operational changes to promote efficiency, maximize new market opportunities, and improve customer and operation safety. The goal is to allocate bus service efficiently and effectively, and to respond quickly to changing market conditions, land use developments and traffic conditions.

Compensation

Salary Range $81,780 - $116,074

(Grade F- 469 Points)

Education and Experience

A Baccalaureate degree in Transportation Management, City or Urban Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Six (6) years of experience in transportation management, three (3) years of which must have been in a managerial or supervisory capacity; or

A satisfactory equivalent of the combined education and experience requirements.

Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Knowledge of operations planning for a transit or regional planning agency

Experience conducting and planning diverse and complex transportation planning assignments.

Excellent oral and writing communication skills

Experience doing public outreach for planning projects
