NBCUniversal is looking for a Manager, Security to join our Global Security Operations team in 30 Rock! This position is challenging yet rewarding, working alongside television professionals and talent. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall safety of the site, its employees, show guests and audience members. You are a hands-on manager with strong investigative skills that can interface with law enforcement.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee emergency evacuation procedures, active shooter trainings, site surveys and threat assessments

  • Coordinate with vendors

  • Develop great work relationships with the internal and external businesses at 30 Rock

  • Serve as a leader and mentor to the guard staff while managing the guard force during your tour

  • Oversee training of the different areas of responsibilities for the guards

  • Coordinate the onboarding process of guests for live TV/News that may need special assistance accessing NBCU space

  • Verify that the process of loading and unloading live studio audiences is consistent with our standards

  • Verify that security devices and equipment are accounted for and in proper working order

  • Proper documentation of all incidents

  • Initiate preliminary investigations of incidents that may occur on your tour

  • Serve as security point of contact during your tour

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent working experience

  • 7+ years of professional experience in law enforcement, military, corporate security, and/or a related role with executive-level experience

  • Experience conducting sensitive, confidential investigations

  • Experience coordinating and implementing strategies and plans for large-scale event security

  • Experience working in a multi-agency, collaborative environment

  • Experience in a supervisory role for staff or contracted employees.

  • Experience managing a budget and working with vendors and consultants; demonstrated negotiating skills

  • Understanding and demonstrated proficiency in industry access control and surveillance technology; including Lenel and Genetec.

  • Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking skills.

  • Operational experience and the ability to respond quickly to security concerns in real-time

  • Must be willing to travel, as needed, and at times on short notice

  • Must be willing to be on call and available 24/7 for emergencies

Desired Characteristics:

  • Prior television or entertainment production experience

  • Prior corporate security experience

  • A broad network of contacts throughout local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies

  • Established project management skills and experience

  • Strong working knowledge of emerging trends of corporate security and/or law enforcement information managerial programs

  • Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills, dealing effectively with all levels of management.

  • Ability to build and sustain excellent relationships at multiple levels and across divisions

  • Self-motivated operator with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic setting

  • Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.

Salary range: $85,000 - $110,000 (bonus eligible)
