The State University of New York College of Optometry, located at 33 West 42nd Street in Manhattan, is accepting applications for a NYS Department of Civil Service Plant Utilities AssistantSchedule is rotational every 5-6 months and also vacation relief:1. Sunday - Thursday 6:30 AM - 3 PM, Off Days are Fridays & Saturdays2. Thursday - Friday 2 PM - 10: 30 PM, Saturday - Monday 11AM - 7:30PM. Off Days are Tuesday & WednesdayDuties include assisting in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment providing heat, hot water, ventilation, air conditioning, and electrical distribution. Will work under supervision of a Plant Utilities Engineer 1or 2. Perform light plumbing and electrical work.
