Core Responsibilities
Must be committed to The Way We Work principles, Standards of Business Conduct, Cybersecurity, and EH&S procedures.
Research, review, and oversee implementation of new FASB, SEC or PSC/FERC rules or standards, across all CEI companies and including associated technology systems if any. Develop staff's technical research and writing skills for key deliverables including implementation memos, GAPs and Accounting Opinions.
Review and oversee staff's preparation/revision of Accounting Opinions and General Accounting Procedures. Ensure proper accounting, documentation, controls and implementation. Maintain focus on staff's preparation of such procedures to ensure sufficient progress towards KPI.
Review staff's calculation and analysis of various liabilities and reserves in accordance with GAAP. Develop staff's project management and leadership skills by overseeing their periodic meetings with business users to ensure adequacy and sufficiency of reserves.
Oversee the staff's preparation and response to auditors for employee benefit plan financial statements.
Lead staff in the preparation of and perform review of assigned deliverables including footnotes for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and SOX controls.
Assume project management responsibilities for testing of relevant systems, preparation/implementation of proposed/new standards, and provide staff oversight, technical support, and project management for major contemplated transactions.
Perform other tasks and assignments as required.
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance and 8 years of work experience in Finance or Accounting or
Master's Degree Accounting, Finance and 6 years of work experience in Finance or Accounting
Preferred Education/Experience
- Master's Degree Accounting, Finance and 6 years of work experience in Finance or Accounting
