Meta Social Manager, @Facebook in New York, New York

Summary:

We’re looking for a Social Manager to join Facebook’s Product Social team, with a focus on developing original content for the company’s official social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram and Threads. This role is responsible for content production efforts on projects from conception to execution and evaluation.

Required Skills:

  1. Develop original content for a variety of a mediums

  2. Manage the entire production process, including ideation and creation of visual assets, oversee timeline and budget, collaboration and analysis

  3. Capture, edit and produce video for use on social media channels

  4. Manage external content capture teams, which includes providing clear and actionable direction

  5. managing budgets and timelines

  6. and ensuring deliverables meet Facebook’s high standards of quality

  7. Manage cross-functional relationships and information sharing between teams

  8. Analyze data to inform decision-making with regards to individual content assets and long-term strategy

  9. Manage project statements of work, estimates and related parameters

  10. Experience capturing content in the field, video editing experience, effective communication and experience delivering and launching initiatives on time, on budget and on strategy.

  11. Travel 20 percent of the time

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of experience in a role where you concepted and created assets for social media

  2. Experience running projects with multiple stakeholders

  3. Experience managing external collaborators and production partners

  4. Experience building working relationships with core and cross-functional teams

  5. Demonstrated experience working in content production for an international audience

  6. Experience working with a global team to create daily editorial content across various platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience developing content for a branded social media account

  2. On the ground production experience

  3. Portfolio of published work

  4. Experience in editing across multiple mediums: documentaries, short-form, narrative, music videos

  5. Proficient in color correction for photo and video

  6. Experience working within a department that places priority on storytelling

  7. Experience working and thriving in a fast-paced and changing environment

Public Compensation:

$116,000/year to $170,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
