Trademark Associate (Fross Zelnick Lehrman & Zissu, P.C.) (New York, NY): Responsible for handling trademark (trdmk), copyright, and related IP matters for clients in a wide-range of industries.. Req. a JD, LLM., or for equiv. plus 1 year exp. as an Assoc. with a law firm handling international trdmk matters. Must be member of NY State Bar. Exp. must include: Anlyzng legal issues & drftng memoranda and legal briefs in supp of infringements, invalidations, & non-use cancellation actions of trdmks. Prfrmng eval of avail. to use and/or registration of trdmks and to create comprehensive trdmk clearance reports. Drftng specfc. for clients’ trdmk apps & rspndng to office actions & refusals issued by IP offices against trdmrks filings. Prep. POAs & formality docs for clients’ repres before IP office & courts. Cndutng legal res on trdmk, copyright &/or design issues to provide comprehensive supp to relevant legal issues. Legal wrtng skills for drftng cease/desist letters, demand letters, & consents for trdmk, copyright, & design infringements. Anlyzng & prprng relevant evid for use in Mex admin & jud proceedings and Mex declaration of notoriety.
