We’re seeking an IT Data Analyst who is motivated by variety, is seeking a challenging environment for professional growth, and is interested in supporting large information technology projects for one of our clients, who is one of the top 10 largest electric companies in the U.S., headquartered in Newark, NJ.
The IT Data Analyst will provide technical application support for our utility client and will be required to coordinate system requirements with technical resources, project managers, and customers at various levels. The role is about managing the data and finding insight that can be used by IT Project Management Office Operations Manager that can then improve projects and how they function.
Location: This a remote position located in Newark, NJ. Qualified candidate must be local to the area and able to go into the office periodically when needed.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing data and reports for project managers, the PMO team, project stakeholders, and the C-suite, with an understanding of the different needs of each
Gathering data outputs from projects and producing reports and forecasts about past and future project performance
Review and monitor all IT project performance and perform regular process compliance checks and prepare reports for same
Manage and recommend required improvements to all project methodologies
Draft new and improving existing project management office policies and processes
Working with IT Project Management Office teams to ensure practices are well communicated and understood
Facilitating meetings and presenting reports, analysis, or findings
Documenting and effectively communicating the results of your efforts
Validating solutions meet business needs and requirements
Develop a thorough understanding of business processes, best practices, and available supporting technology & documentation
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
3+ years of experience as a data analyst
Ability to explain technical solutions, practices, and procedures to technical resources, project managers, and customers at various levels through excellent written and oral communication skills
Working knowledge of PMO processes/portfolio management processes is a must
Self-driven and have demonstrated the ability to work independently with minimum guidance
Demonstrated multitasking ability, problem solving skills and a consistent record of on time delivery and customer service
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Expert in Excel
Strong Power Point Presentation skills

Position Details:
- Pay Rate / Range:$25-$39.85
The above salary range represents the range expected for the position; however, final salary offers are based on a number of factors such as the position’s responsibilities; the candidate’s experience, education, and skills; location; travel required; and current market conditions.
