Posting Summary | Rutgers University-Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator for the Dean's Office, School of Arts and Sciences-Newark (SASN). Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Research, this Sr Program Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management of SASN facilities operations.This position is responsible for and not limited to the following: - Managing the day-to-day functioning of space and related projects, including planning, access, preparation, maintenance, appropriate custodial and safety evaluation, compliance requirements, control of communication, events, coordination of emergency repairs and responses, records, data, statistics, reports, and documents.
- Coordinating and/or managing the processes by which SASN space is allocated, utilized, maintained, renovated, and constructed.
- Collecting, maintaining, and analyzing data on space and facilities and generating and providing reports.
- Coordinating SASN major research instrumentation assets, working with SASN departments, centers, institutes, and core facilities.
- Leading communication and training efforts regarding facilities management and related initiatives.

Minimum Education and Experience | - Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates a deep knowledge and understanding of program design and execution, coordination, organization, facilitation, data collection, general research principles and practices, report analysis, writing, social media networking, and promotion/outreach.
- Also requires a minimum of two years relevant experience in a program coordination or administrative function that includes coordination of work and management of people; good communication skills; and computer literacy.

Preferred Qualifications | - A bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of administration.

Equipment Utilized | - Regularly uses MS Office Suite, Cornerstone, Office 365, RAPSS, ECRT, EMS, Canvas, and any and all systems Rutgers University (RU) uses for asset management and inventory; research and grant submission and administration; general administration; safety; access; scheduling, facilities and space management; reporting; project management; in-house applications, and any database or program utilized by the University to perform the duties of this position now or in the future.
- Must be familiar with or learn all the office equipment, software, and specialized programs and/or materials needed to support the effective and efficient performance of this position.

Physical Demands and Work Environment | - SASN is a highly complex, fast-paced, deadline-driven, stakeholder-focused, team environment with requirement to skillfully and professional handle multiple shifting priorities, and to interact successfully with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the University and external research community.
- Must be able to walk to SASN space in buildings across campus and off-campus in fulfillment of day-to-day responsibilities.
- Responsibilities may necessitate response and/or monitoring evenings, weekends, and holidays.
