Help Desk Technician

HOW A HELP DESK TECHNICIAN WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Handles all incidents and service requests (Tier 1-3).

  • Helps technicians resolve customer incidents and requests on a first call basis as applicable.

  • Develops, maintains, and updates the Service Desk SOPs.

  • Maintains all service desk related documents and templates in the Government-approved location.

  • Coordinates, administers, and reports to the Government all service desk customer survey responses.

  • Manage users’ account accesses in accordance with procedures and best practice, including passwords and account verification, creation, deletion, and archiving.

  • Develops, maintains, and updates the Service Desk SOPs. Maintains all service desk related documents and templates in the Government-approved location. Coordinates, administers, and reports to the Government all service desk customer survey responses.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree. High School Diploma. Will consider work experience in lieu of an AA/AS degree.

  • Required Experience: 5+ years of related IT Helpdesk experience

  • Required Skills and Abilities: Helpdesk experience troubleshooting system hardware and software issues

  • Required Technical Skills: Provide routine technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures. Experience with ticketing services

  • Preferred Skills: May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies.

  • Required Certification: Must have a DOD 8570 certification, such as CompTIA Security + CE

  • Required clearance: must have a current/active TS/SCI clearance

  • Work location: Newington VA
