Requirements and Behaviour

  • Candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in warehouse leadership roles.

  • Candidate must show that he/she is willing to own the logistic process within our warehouse.

  • Candidate needs to have the ability to handle stressful situations.

  • Candidate need to be able to think and act out of the box.

  • Ownership of receiving and shipping incl. the paperwork and electronic records.

  • Loading & unloading vehicles and / or containers of any sort upon arrival at the BT facility.

  • Moving or placing materials manually or with the use of vehicular or non-vehicular mechanical aids as appropriate.

  • Ensuring goods are received, labelled, & placed into physical and system inventory safely & without damage within two business days of arrival.

  • For Integration picks, ensuring goods are picked, issued & transported to the in-facility Integration staging locations by end of current business day, or as specified in the pick order, safely & without damage.

  • For Shipment picks, ensuring goods are picked, issued, prepared for shipment, and loaded on trucks by end of current business day, or as specified in the pick order, safely & without damage

  • Identify problems and challenges, analyse root causes, and identify, test, and implement appropriate solution(s) as applicable to the task at hand.

  • Express ideas, improvements, explanations, or opinions in a way that is appropriate to the situation and the audience.

  • Display knowledge and understanding of policies, procedures, and processes pertinent to their role and applies knowledge, as appropriate, to protect BT and its employees against risk.

  • Maintaining the security of all goods contained within the site & assisting the necessary stock checks to comply with audit guidelines.

  • Collecting, packing, labelling, receiving, replenishing, sorting returns, collating, issuing & dispatch of materials based on system Pick requests.

  • Checking quantities of goods held, received, moved, or dispatched & carrying out necessary corrective & reporting procedures as issues are identified or as a part of quarterly inventory audits.

  • Creating, amending & checking, in accordance with predetermined procedures & authorities, records relating to quantities or locations of stock

  • Carrying out such daily "housekeeping" duties as may be necessary to maintain a high standard of cleanliness & maximum operating efficiency.

  • Follow up and support the DOA and or RMA process

  • Coaching other Team Members or seeking information on working practices as necessary.

  • Fulfil the trusted logistics advisor role for our stakeholders

  • Breaking down or building up lot or part lots of materials into or from component parts.

  • Attending relevant training courses as required for the safe & efficient completion of tasks.

  • Working closely with BT PMs, Integration Technicians, and Customers as required.

  • Report progress and outcomes (including problems) on a daily basis to ensure all timelines and expectations are met.

  • Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office Product suite. (Outlook, Excel, Word)

  • Candidate Should be able to take and transmit digital images.

  • Ability to lift up to 50-lbs when performing warehouse tasks.

Activities to fulfill

  1. The receiving, warehousing, and shipping of CPE performed centrally in the BT Newport Minnesota facility. This includes the following typical equipment types:
  • Switches

  • Routers

  • WLAN Controllers and Access Points

  • Firewalls

  • Servers

  1. Performing the following activities across all programs and projects:
  • Monitoring and updating of work queues and flag challenges on-time to stakeholder(s) & local team lead.

  • Monitor truck arrival and departures, loading and unloading boxes and pallets, inspecting shipments for completeness and damage, receiving product into inventory, moving product to storage locations, monitoring workflow system tasks, performing warehouse picks, unboxing/boxing, creating shipping labels, collecting, organizing, and storing bill of material paperwork, communicating status and escalating issues.

  • Work with personnel including Deployment Services team, project management team, CPE ordering teams, international trade & compliance team, shipping companies, and client site contacts. Focus on safety, reliability, attention to detail (right first time) efficiency, order fulfilment, and inventory integrity.

  • Fulfil the logistics advisor & gatekeeper role for all outgoing shipments from Newport warehouse

  • Leverage tools and systems, including warehouse management systems, scanners, shipping request systems, pallet jacks, forklifts, Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, and Teams.

  • This work will be performed on-site and BT Newport with normal working hours are from 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday.

  1. Customer & Market Focus: Take ownership of customer service enquiries and/or concerns originating from customer services, providing efficient feedback and resolution within agreed time frame targets especially where immediate parts availability is not attainable (drop shipment). Take the appropriate actions.

  2. Successfully completing OSHA safety certification for forklift operation specific to the BT Newport facility. ally where immediate parts availability is not attainable (drop shipment). Take the appropriate actions.
