Aston Carter Senior Tax Accountant in Newtown, Connecticut


  • Prepare and review individual, fiduciary, corporate and partnership tax returns in compliance with federal and state tax laws.

  • Calculation of personal and business estimated Federal and State tax payments.

  • Developing tax minimization strategies and implementing them accordingly.

  • Communicate with accounting staff to ensure timely deliverable review of financial statements with a focus on profit maximization.

  • A strong commitment to professional education and remaining up to date with current trends and tax law changes.

  • Volume is 1,100 individual returns and 300-400 trust returns

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • CPA preferred but NOT required

  • 5 years experience in the preparation and review of Federal and State tax returns

  • C corp & S corp tax returns

  • Strong communication skills

  • QuickBooks Online

  • QuickBooks Desktop

  • Lacerte (Intuit Tax software)
