EVS Manager

Are you a natural leader with a passion for maintaining pristine environments? We’re seeking a dedicated EVS (Environmental Services) Manager to spearhead our custodial team and ensure our facilities shine with cleanliness and professionalism!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Interview, select, train, supervise and evaluate performance all EVS associates. Provide appropriate coaching and training where necessary.

  • Ensures Department is in compliance with company and departmental policies and procedures.

  • Plan, coordinate, and delegate EVS work for all projects across the property, as well as any other operating properties.

  • Assists the Facilities Department by supervising the Maintenance staff as a partner with the Maintenance Manager.

  • Assist in developing and managing a preventative maintenance program and schedule, to protect the assets of the Company.

  • Advise management of repairs, replacements, and maintenance necessary in assigned areas.

  • Work closely with Risk Management to ensure safety for our associates and guests.

  • Ensure adherence to all OSHA safety requirements and Company safety policies.

  • Works with regulatory agencies, both State and Federal, regarding code requirements and restrictions.

  • Assist in budget preparation and adheres to budgetary constraints to be cost effective and efficient.

  • Process Payroll for departmental associates.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Provide leadership and guidance to EVS supervisors, overseeing all activities of EVS Department associates. Support Maintenance Manager in the supervision of maintenance department associates. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.

    Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training associates, planning, assigning work schedules, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, or ability required.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    High School diploma or GED required. One to two years supervisory experience required.

    SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    Computer literate in appropriate software. Excellent oral and written skills preferred. Strong organizational skills required. Understanding of the operation of janitorial specific equipment.
