Continental Facility Management & Green Production Engineer - BA IAPAC in Ninghai, China

Facilities and Sustainability

▪ Ensure BA specific strategy execution and investment planning (for the assigned area Energy Management and Facilities Maintenance).

▪ Ensure Sector specific standards for facility maintenance BA strategy (reactive, preventive, predictive), processes (e.g. maintenance planning, failure codes, ...) and tools (e.g. ERP modules). Support plants in implementation according to standards.

▪ Drive continuous improvement initiatives(e.g. cost saving, energy efficiency) by applying project management and CBS methods.

▪ Drive implementation of sector standards and if applicable define, drive and maintain local specific machine standards with focus on energy efficiency and sustainability. Support plants in implementation accordingly.

▪ Provide feedback and input to Sector / Business Area regarding general standards (e.g. facilities and energy standards...)

▪ Serve as first line of escalation for all roadblocks regarding facilities issues and upgrade development

Investments

▪ Support the preparation of the investment budget, spending forecasts and follow-up with focus on energy and facilities improvements.

▪ Ensures alignement among all parties including guidance for approval of specifications and eCR execution for investments for facility and infrastructure equipment.

▪ Ensure evaluation of yearly projects for impact to sustainiability. Support creation of business cases using financial criteria (IRR) as well as drive prioratization for implementation.

▪ Drive and support plants in understanding of regulations and tax incentives (state and local) as provided by Sector sustainaibility Team and evaluate which Projects could fit such incentives.

Training and Coaching

▪ Support the continuous qualification of energy and facility management employees in the plants, inlcuding ISO 5001 certification / knowledge or any other requirements for sustainability.

▪ Support development and growth of the energy and facility management team of appropriate personnel at each IAPAC plant.

▪ Support the implementation of an energy efficiency culture across BA

Monitoring and Reporting

▪ Maintain specific standards for monitoring of production performance in terms of energy utilization (definition of KPIs, reporting formats / tools, reporting sequence, …) and support plants in implementation according to these standards.

▪ Drive operational energy efficiency performance monitoring and reporting within BA (e.g. Engineering reviews, monthly plant reviews) and to Sector.

Education / Certification

▪ University degree in chemical / mechanical / electrical / manufacturing engineering or similar.

▪ Prefer to have or willing to obtain energy certifications such as CEM (Certified Energy Manager) or OPMP (Operations and Performance Management Professional Certification)

Professional Experience

▪ 7 years of professional expereince with 5 or more years of professional experience in process engineering and/or production functions preferred

▪ Cross-functional experience e.g. in engineering, quality, production or CBS preferred.

Project and/or Process Experience

▪ Comprehensive experience in rubber and plastic production processes and ramp-up projects

Leadership Experience

▪ Prefer 3 or more years in a leadership position, preferably in a technical team with functional and/or disciplinary responsibility for other individuals

Intercultural / International Experience

▪ Experience in working with international teams on production topics and understanding of foreign cultures

▪ English language proficiency is mandatory
