Description

• This DevOps Engineer(Automation) will be responsible for all aspects of the code deployment pipeline from SCM check-in through production deployment.

• Responsible for building and supporting deployment automation of various Java-based microservices which is repeatable, efficient and cost-effective.

• Responsible for analyzing all deployment/infrastructure related issues across Engineering / Production environments and provide swift resolution.

• Participates in building efficient automation solutions that are resilient, fault tolerant and are upgraded with no downtime.

• Work with the Operations team to build production deployment processes & systems.

• Automating processes using Cloud Native solutions with the help of scripting languages (Shell/Python/Groovy) and Google Cloud API’s.

• Have solid foundation in CI/CD concepts and well-versed with the pipeline to push changes to production.

• Participates in code and design reviews to ensure quality and conformance to product standards.

• Possess a keen eye to detail as well as excellent debugging / troubleshooting skills.

• Build and support custom tools that facilitate development and QA teams

• Should have hands on experience on Kubernetes platform on GCP

• Should have hands on experience on Terraform and Ansible

• Should have hands on experience on Bitbucket, Github and Github actions

• Should have understanding of Asset management preferably on GCP platform

• Should have experience on Jenkins and GitHub Action

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best-practices in DevOps, evaluating their potential for adoption

• Provide technical leadership to the team, drawing on practical experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and Configuration as Code.

• Enhance skill acquisition and enablement across the organization with immersive, collaborative, outcome-driven engagements with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering / Computer Science or equivalent experience with 5-8 years experience in DevOps

• Knowledge of system deployment & management systems and Jenkins

• Solid foundation skills with Rocky Linux/Ubuntu and ability to code in multiple languages (Shell Scripting/Python/Groovy/Ruby)

• Development Tools – GIT(Stash), Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, Gradle

• Hands on experience with public cloud providers (AWS, GCP)

• Well versed with containerization techniques such as Docker/Kubernetes and knowledge of developing Terraform/Ansible/Helm scripts

• Exposure to Agile/SCRUM methodology and experience with full SDLC including design, testing and deployment

• Knowledge to develop, deploy and manage applications with Kubernetes with Helm Charts

• Good experience of developing CI/CD capability with Jenkins and Github Actions

• Have solid foundation in CI/CD concepts and well-versed with the pipeline to push changes to production.
