Description

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to support our Product, Development and Cloud organizations who will implement new technologies and tooling to enable analytics, enhance business operations, and help drive scalable data sharing practices.

The Lead Software Engineer is responsible for leading a team of software engineers to design, develop, and maintain software applications, API, ETL pipelines and workflows. The Lead Software Engineer is expected to also have a sound understanding of data and part of his/her daily responsibilities will involve taking the lead on making decision on building and maintenance of our ETL data pipeline processes. The individual in this role will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software products. The Lead Software Engineer will also mentor and coach team members to help them develop their skills and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of software engineers: The Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers to design, develop, and maintain software applications and ETL processes.

• Has a sound understanding of data and data relationships.

• Design and develop software applications: The individual in this role will design and develop software applications and ETL processes that meet customer needs and requirements.

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code: The Lead Software Engineer will write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to best practices and coding standards.

• Maintain, update, test and debug software applications: The individual in this role will maintain, update, test and debug software applications and ETL processes to ensure they meet functional and performance requirements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: The Lead Software Engineer will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in software development and building scalable web application.

• Have a good understanding of Web Framework such as Flask, Django or other web framework which utilizes the MVC or MVT design pattern.

• Have proficiency in frontend engineering and is able to build clean UI utilizing JavaScript or other frontend framework or libraries.

• Preferably a strong background in JavaScript.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or C++.

• Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience in leading software development teams.
