Would you like to join an industry leader with a long history of creating the best products in the market? UKG is looking for an Engineering Manager that will provide leadership to teams within the Data Collection Products Domain, focusing on developing and delivering quality software to enhance and support engineering activities. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for directly managing Software Engineers to develop features, tests and automation for our data collection products and work closely with your peers in the device hardware and software teams.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a 5+ persons team of Engineers (Developers and Quality Engineers)

• Effectively manages work and capacity of the team, sets priorities, manages risks and tradeoffs

• Foster culture of service ownership and dives team engagement with focus on quality engineering, test engineering and automation

• Effectively collaborates with stakeholders and represent the team at departmental level meetings

• Able to speak and represent on behalf of the team on technical matters

• Represent the team at departmental level meetings

• Grow and develop the team technically and across the organization

• Show a growth mindset and be able to understand and drive the change with focus on engineering efficiency and developer experience

• Provide actionable feedback and opportunities to team members

• Enforce engineering best practices and behaviors (e.g., automation, code management, security principles)

• Work with individuals to set appropriate, challenging development goals, meet requirements and expectations of both internal and external customers

• Manage the hiring plan and continually improve the talent and engagement level of the teams

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering at a minimum and 3+ years of experience at a minimum managing engineering teams in an environment with rapidly changing priorities

• Works well independently and as part of a team

• Experience in managing teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Partnership and stakeholder management skills, working closely with Product and Leadership

• Core product development experience on SaaS/Cloud/Multitenant-based projects is good to have

• Java development experience preferred

• Good experience in product automation and have exposure to automation tools and test frameworks including Junit, Mockito, UI Automator, Selenium, Rest Assured/Postman

• Good experience working on JIRA/Confluence and other Project Management tools

• Understanding and experience in Quality Engineering concepts and usage of tools to document, monitor and track Test Plans and execution reports

• Product development and delivery experience for embedded devices is a plus

• Knowledge and experience with android operating systems is a plus

• Scrum Master experience is a plus
