Clinic Medical Director

REGULAR PART TIME - 37.5%Senior Leader Nome Census Area, Nome, AK, US

Purpose of Position:

Provide clinical and administrative oversight to the Nome Primary Care Clinic and all Regional Village Clinics.

Uphold the organizations vision, mission, and corporate values. Demonstrate understanding of and compliance with organizations policies, procedures, code of conduct and work rules.

Essential Functions:

• Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the Clinics
• Assist the Medical Director and Medical Staff office with daily operations of Nome Primary Care Clinic and Regional Village Clinics.
• Participate in a regular clinic meetings to assist in the areas of quality assurance, quality improvement, strategic planning, and clinical education
• Participate in in-service presentations to NSHC clinic medical staff when needed
• Facilitate communication with the clinic medical staff, other clinical departments and NSHC Administration when necessary
• Mentor managers of clinical staff to develop clinical competency skills for certification and licensure appropriate for specific programs
• Perform other duties as assigned
